Gallup and Knight Foundation asked 10,000 Americans their views on who, if anyone, should be regulating misinformation and harmful content online.

This simple quiz was designed to be embedded into partners websites as an iframe. It was created as a simple one-page React application and using Mixpanel for data collection.

Nanny agency Smart Sitting needed to optimize their booking process.

They had been working directly with parents and sitters to manually schedule and pair users. As their customer base grew, they needed a way to automate this work through an app.

The new app, used by both parents and sitters, aims to solve the problems of pairing, scheduling, and billing. We defined each page, created user journeys for parents and sitters, and designed interaction between modules.

The app was built using Javascript components and the Ionic framework. We built a Node.js backend, handling all API and database requests, and a beautiful front end for mobile devices.

The app is currently being used by Smart Sitting's team and clients.

Smart Sitting

The core of the website is a long-scrolling, animated experience that takes the user through key findings of the study. It uses data points, interactive charts, illustrations and video segments to tell the story of disengaged voters.

The website was bootstrapped using Create-React-App and using react-router-dom for basic navigation. ScrollMagick and GSAP were used for all scrolling animation using SVg graphics. Chart.js was used for interactive charts.

The quiz structure is pretty straight forward with a series of questions whose answers are weighed for the different possible profiles. After each question the quiz adds up the values of the selected answer and when there is no more question left redirects the user to a result page.

Courage Score works with their progressive 

 who provide information on bills, voting records and a wide range of progressive issues to score legislators on. Users are able to explore all of this data in depth to reveal whether their representatives stay true to their constituents.

This new version of the Courage Score was created using the original Wordpress backend database and a theme built with the Roots.io framework (Trellis, Bedrock and Sage). PHP functions were written to pull the voting data from the 

 API, geolocation data from Google and political boundary data from 

We are discussing a new version that would involve a custom CMS, a React front end and using the data to build an interactive map of California.

A tool to visualize all art exhibitions and openings happening in the New York city area.

Artcritical publishes one of the most comprehensive art opening guides in NYC. I developed a tool for their website to list, customize and map out all of the art events happening in the city.

Previously, the long list of openings were compiled into a long, text-only email newsletter that felt exclusive for art insiders. Now, the new list tool organizes images and event details into a calendar, by neighborhood, and in a map making information accessible and user friendly to a larger audience.

The list tool allows users to sign up for an account and select events to create a personalized program of events. This list can be emailed or shared as a public link, allowing users to curate their own art viewing journey. A personal list URL includes a map populated with selected events, making it easy to navigate in real time.
